Day 11: Nairobi to Cape Town
Kabale to Bush Camp #1
e left the CEPHA Inn @ 1030 after packing our tents and having a cooked breakfast, then proceeded down into Kabale Town where Al went to the local market to purchase veggies for the nights dinner. The rest of the guys & girls that went to the orphanage for the night turned up at 1130 and we continued on back to Great Lakes Hotel for a buffet lunch. With full stomachs we headed on 140km towards our first Bush Camp which we were all excited about. We arrived at our bush camping site around 1800, got dinner started and tent setup. We had the owner of the land and his family join us for dinner also after they finished herding their cattle. Before going to bed we gave the kids some of the pens/pencils & crayons we had brought with us and they were warmly received and we bid everyone a good night.

Day 12: Nairobi to Cape Town
Bush Camp #1 to NRE (Nile River Explorers) Jinja, Uganda.
We were up at 0520 to start breakfast and pack away our tent. After breakfast we stowed everything back in the truck and left our camp site at 0700 for Jinja, going back through the capital Kampala. We stopped off at "meat on a stick" then had lunch before continuing on to NRE. We arrived around 1530, we were greeted by Greg the manager and he gave a run down of all the facilities & activities. NRE is home to the Uganda National White Water Rafting Team so there are many water activities on offer. The camp overlooks the Victoria Nile River which flows quick due to the dams up river and due to the frequent rain keeps the lake well supplied.

We dropped our gear in our room, changed & ran down for the sunset cruise which 8 of us from Oasis got on and slowly made our way up river to the dam then as sunset fell we cruised back down whilst helping our selfs to snacks and a bbq. We finished off the night socializing with everyone around the bar area and relaxing.
