Day 28 Nairobi to Cape Town
Firefly Camp, Bagamoyo to Kipepeo Beach Village Camp, Dar EEs Salaam, Tanzania
After a fabulous sleep and Al feeling a million times better than the day before even the ongoing attack of mosquitos during the night went unnoticed. We had a late wake up and bundled our gear back on the truck then had a short walk (100 meters) to the local fish market right on the beach. We watched as the fishing boats brought their fresh catches in to shore and as young men rushed into the water racing to get the best fish to sell. We walked back to camp then started our shortish drive down the coast to Dar Es Salaam.

We arrived at Kipepeo Beach Village Campsite which was right on the beach. We were all excited about the prospect of having a swim in the Indian Ocean and relaxing on the beautiful white sand beaches. We upgraded to one of the rooms set back off the beach which had more privacy and less noise, it was a very nice room for the price and as we walked to our room at the far end of the complex we saw a family of mongoose going about their business and watched us wearily. We organised our bags for the next day's trip to Zanzibar then lounged on the beach with a cold one. We finished off with a fantastic dinner done by the cook group with fresh seafood from the beach fish market and watched the last 15 minutes of NZ vs ARG then headed to bed for a good nights sleep as it would be an early wake up for the ferry the next morning.
