Day 38 Nairobi to Cape Town
Kande Beach Camp, Lake MalawiWe were up early and headed for breakfast stopping off at the truck so Al could sharpen some knifes for some of the crew who were going to help slaughter a pig for tonight's dinner "Piggy on a Spit". We relaxed by the beach most of the day until 1500 when the "Truck Olympics" began. The events included the egg race, tug of war & the "Oasis Relay". After a lot of bribing and cheating the scores were distorted somewhat and eventually there was a diplomatic win for everyone. We headed back over to the truck for dinner which included "Piggy" (with crackling!) Garlic Bread, Carrot Salad.

We then dressed up in our fancy dress costumes and wandered over the bar for a couple of drinks and discuss who really won

Another overland truck group was reported to be arriving in late and sadly we found out that the truck had hit a young kid and injured his brother on his bike. We went to bed saddened by the news and had our fingers crossed that nothing like this would happen to us.
