Day 17 Nairobi to Cape Town
Fishermans Camp, Naivasha Lake
A free day and made full use of it! We slept in to 1000 (what a treat!), finished our washing & hung it out, then organised all our electrical gear so we knew what last minute gear to grab in Nairobi. We finished our minor chores and proceeded to the restaurant to try and upload some more blogs which we managed while having a full English Breakfast. We hung around the restaurant until 1500 when we left to go 5 minutes down the road to where the book "Born Free" by Joy Adamson was written and also where she lived. We watched a documentary about her life before visiting the small museum and having high tea with local cakes and biscuits. After 2 hours we left and headed back to the campsite where we prepared dinner (Cottage Pie) which was well received then headed back to mosquitoville (our cabin) to try and sleep, thankfully Mr Rat was out partying so we had the opportunity for a semi good nights sleep, fingers crossed.
