Day 18 Nairobi to Cape Town
Fishermans Camp, Lake Naivasha to Karen Camp, Nairobi
After a delicious cooked breakfast all of the group pitched in to do a spring clean of the truck before heading back to Nairobi.

We left Fishermans Camp at 10am and left the Rift Valley behind, not before doing some last minute Masi Blanket shopping where we managed to beat down the price considerably much to our delight. We did a quick stop in Karen shops for lunch and purchase some last minute provisions for our trip down to Tanzania as it would be the last time we might get to buy certain items.

We then left the shops and headed to the Giraffe centre where we were treated to feeding Rothschild Giraffes by hand for an hour before getting a presentation from "Moses" on the Giraffe varieties found in Kenya and the breeding program they have in place which allows them to release them back into the wild. After a memorable afternoon we moved on to the our final stop of the day, "Karen Camp" which was almost like a second home for us seeing "Smiley", "Amos", "Ken" & the rest of the Karen Camp crew. We grabbed our gear and managed to get an upgrade to one of the rooms, we then had a bite to eat while for the first time this trip having great internet which we could upload the last 2 weeks worth of blogs.

Sadly this was the end of the road for Craig, James, Sarah & Lawrence who have been great travel companions the last 3 weeks and our remaining group was sorry to see them go as we had had so many great experiences with them. The upside was we would be getting another 6 or so people to share the rest of our journey through Africa with and we would be meeting them on Saturday.
