Day 44 Nairobi to Cape TownWarthogs Bush Camp, Lake Kariba, ZimbabweAfter waking up around 07h00 we had breakfast then washed all our dirty laundry and in the early morning 30 degree heat our clothes dried in no time.

Around 10h30 we had a herd of elephants pass the campsite then went to a watering hole to drink, it was incredible seeing them so close on foot rather than in a vehicle and we captured some great shots.

We relaxed in the shade most of the day due to the heat, eating, drinking & socializing with the friendly locals that frequent the bar and tried to catch up on uploading our blogs which once again proved challenging due to the internet and we managed to only get 3 blogs online after several hours. We also watched Paul go fishing at the waters edge with hippos less than 50 meters from him, surprisingly he caught nothing! We finished off the night being entertained by local fisherman that had a few too many "Klippies & Coke" and decided that they could run "through" the bar, in their drunken state they didn't take into consideration the 9 inch concrete wall hidden from view behind the Wooden bar facade. It ended with the fisherman on his back with a mild concussion after hitting the bar head on. It was made more entertaining by his buddies egging him on to do it again which he did with the same outcome and a few broken glasses on the bar, he was followed later in the evening by another fisherman who too thought he was 10 foot and bulletproof, let's just say the bar won that one too.Useful Fact: Lake Kariba shares its border with Zimbabwe and Zambia.
