Day 47 Nairobi to Cape Town

Kuimba Shiri Bird Park to Antelope Park 265kmWe were up early once again for our 07h00 departure and after a quick breakfast we left Harare behind us and on towards Gweru. We drove 3 hours and stopped in Kadoma where the cook groups gathered supplies for their cook nights, we to grabbed a bite to eat before heading on 140 km towards Antelope Park.

We arrived early afternoon and were greeted by Gerald who would be looking after us while at the park, he took us on a tour of the park facilities and were introduced to Gary the General Manager who told us about all the programs that the park and associated organizations ran and finally a DVD of all the activities on offer that we could book which there were a lot of including lion walks, lion feeding, elephant walks, safari game drives, even canoeing!

We decided to sit at the cafe and watch an amazing sunset over the river while eating a light dinner which included various types of biltong :)We walked back to our tent that overlooked the river and sat in bed listening to the All Blacks play Tonga in what turned out to be a cracking second half 47 - 9 full time.
