Eureka Camp, Lusaka to Warthogs Camp, Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe 190kmWe packed up our tents, showered and after breakfast left Eureka Camp & Lusaka for the 150km trip to the Zimbabwe border crossing.

Jay Jay Ku'ansenga Lodge to Eureka Camp, Lusaka, Zambia 400kmWe pulled away from camp at 07h30 and made it onto newly paved roads for an hour or so then 10-20km sections of paved/dirt roads and finally made it to Eureka Camp on the outskirts of Lusaka (the capital of Zambia)

Day 41 Nairobi to Cape Town
Mabuya Camp, Lilongwe to Jay Jay Ku'ansenga Lodge, Zambia 300kmWe were up early and packed away our camp, had breakfast & slowly proceeded out of the capital and headed the 80km to the Zambia border. We made good time to the border with light weekend traffic making life easier for us.

Day 40 Nairobi to Cape Town
Kande Beach Camp to Mabuya Camp, Lilongwe 320km
We were up at 05h00 for our early departure heading for the capital. It was a non eventful trip traveling parallel to the Lake then as we reached the outskirts of Lilongwe the Friday traffic started and it took us an extra 30-40 minutes to get into the centre where the cook groups ran off to purchase the next few days cooking ingredients.

Day 39 Nairobi to Cape Town
Kande Beach Camp, Lake MalawiWe were up early to get our laundry in to be washed and organize our bags as they had ended up being anything but organized. After repacking everything back into the truck we headed over to the bar to order breakfast and sat looking out over the Lake. We enjoyed a relaxing day swimming in the lake and socializing with some of the group over a quiet beverage.

Day 38 Nairobi to Cape Town
Kande Beach Camp, Lake MalawiWe were up early and headed for breakfast stopping off at the truck so Al could sharpen some knifes for some of the crew who were going to help slaughter a pig for tonight's dinner "Piggy on a Spit". We relaxed by the beach most of the day until 1500 when the "Truck Olympics" began.

Chitimba Camp, Lake Malawi, it was an early start, we wandered to the restaurant for breakfast dropping our large bag of laundry with Grace ( the local laundry woman). We sat down to a "Full Monty" Breakfast and planned our day which by the time we finished

Bush Camp & Baobab Valley

Day 34 Nairobi to Cape Town
Mikumi Bush Camp to Mbeya Bush Camp, Tanzania 480km We woke up and set about breaking down the campsite after we had a delicious cooked breakfast prepared by Ingrid's cook group. We then left the camp and proceeded 20km to the entrance to Mikumi National Park.
